As I sat down with my paintbrush in hand, each stroke sweeping across the canvas, I could not help myself but reflect on where I was yesterday and where I am today. I smiled at the canvas and thanked God for the day I decided to step out in faith in the face of fear.
It began with me making a decision. That was the first step, and that decision was to step outside of my comfort zone. Then it was reconditioning the way I think. Meaning, I had to weed out my negative thoughts DAILY: I can’t, it is not for me, I am not good enough, fear, I am not smart enough, etc. And EACH day, replace those thoughts with, I can, it is for me, I am good enough, I am engraved with a purpose, I am able, etc. These positive and healthy seeds planted in my mind energized me every day to take another step over the hurdle and another, leading me to where I am today. Yes, I reflect on my journey thus far and smile at the horizon knowing it is limitless and that is where I am heading.
Thanks to everyone who have taken the time from their busy schedule to reach out and helped me along the way; my very own helpline.
