On Sunday someone I follow on Twitter shared a heartbreaking post and an important reminder. A reminder that mental health awareness is very important and a cause that should be important to us all. This was what he shared: -
In my reply to him, I thanked him for sharing. I made the point that to many people do not understand how those suffering from a mental health issue struggles to cope with their demons on a daily basis. There is a misconception that mental health issues, let's say depression, is something one can just snap out of. Nothing is further from the truth, you can't just snap out of a depressive state.
I speak of this issue yet, I still do not fully understand it, what I do understand is that those suffering/dealing with the issue should not be shunned, they should not be treated as though they want to be where they are.
